About the Author
Dr. S C Mehta, Ph.D., is a professor in Department of Pharmacology, G.R. Medical College, India. He has a teaching experience of over three decades and has been an examiner for undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. students of Pharmacy in different universities. He has authored many research papers and guided several Ph.D. students. His research interests are mainly in areas of indigenous drugs, synthetic drugs, cardiovascular and psychopharmacology.
Prof. Ashutosh Kar, Ph.D. and a Gold Medalist, has a rare combination of theoretical and practical knowledge. He headed research and development wings in pharmaceutical industries for a number of years and has taught in Universities both in India and Africa. He is also the recipient of 'Life Time Achievement Award 2008' instituted by the Indian Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists. Prof. Kar has to his credit more than fifty research papers-20 of which are published in international journals, and seven University and College-level textbooks in various disciplines.
